What is biodiversity?
Biodiversity is the variety of all living things.

Biodiversity includes:
• genetic variation within a population of the same species;
• species diversity - the variety of different species such as our many unique native plants and wildlife; and
• ecosystem diversity - a variety of different ecosystems and landscapes such as woodlands, grasslands, rivers and wetlands.

Why is biodiversity so important?
That's the tale you need to tell. Simply though, conserving biodiversity gives us the best chance of adapting to our rapidly changing world.

What do I have to do?
Tell a tale. Participants are asked to produce a multi-media package which tells a story, experience or study that demonstrates the meaning and importance of maintaining biodiversity. The entry must have an emphasis on the Namoi Catchment.

What is multimedia?
Use of more than one medium of expression in education or art.

What media can I use?
Your entry can be any electronic form of multimedia. Your entry can be a short film (60 second , slide show, voice thread, music, game, web page or any electronic combination of these.
