Science Champions Group

Our Aims and Objectives

The Science Champions Group, which is in its formative stage, will explore ways of getting relevant information to staff. This could be through regular staff workshops covering all aspects of the CMA business i.e. Our CAP management targets, to ensure that all staff are aware of current and relevant information, along with a range of other tools.

Science and Knowledge

The Science Champions group is putting together a Knowledge Strategy – i.e. how we use information within the CMA. This will affect lots of CMA activities including:

  • project development, assessment and certification;
  • expectations about staff responsibility to digest information circulated, and to keep on top of current knowledge and legislation;
  • internal staff training;
  • checking the relevance of science / information in sponsored publications, external training for land managers, Best Management Practice (BMP) and other documents;
  • Reviewing the CAP, investment strategies and other strategic documents; and
  • Providing advice and information to the Board.
