Booroolong Frogs

Booroolong Frogs in the Namoi Catchment

The Booroolong Frog inhabits rocky permanent streams in a broad range
of habitats, ranging from small slow-flowing creeks to large rivers in both forested areas and open farmland.

Within the Namoi Catchment there is evidence of the frog in the mid to low elevation streams in the Cockburn and Peel River subcatchments above Chaffey Dam. The population is conservatively estimated to be between 600 and 800 frogs.

The Namoi Catchment is an important area for the survival of this species.
